New partnership with the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Institute!

We are excited to announce a new educational partnership with the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Institute (AIM).  The AIM Institute serves to provide competency-based education in Acupuncture. The Washington Department of Health – Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission issued an advisory statement in November 2017 stating that “it is within the scope of practice of an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) to treat patients using acupuncture techniques following successful completion of additional training in medical acupuncture.”

Maintaining our tradition of offering high quality continuing education programs, Acute Care Education and the AIM Institute are partnering to deliver the Acupuncture Certificate Program.  The Acupuncture Certificate Program is 372 contact hours for ARNP’s and APN’s who want to add medical acupuncture techniques to their practice.  This continuing education program is composed of 6 modules with live hands-on, online, and practicum components where students learn the tenants of traditional Chinese medicine.
