Andy is the Lean Program & PMO Manager for Kitsap County and Adjunct Professor for Olympic College. He has an MBA in Operational Management and professional certificates in Project Management, Business Analysis and Lean Six Sigma. He has been a guest lecturer for UW Tacoma’s Certificate Lean program as well as presenting at many regional and national conferences focused on Lean Six Sigma Principles, Operational Management and Leadership. As a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, Andy developed and implemented PEAK (Performance Excellence Across Kitsap) as the platform for Lean and Process Improvement across Kitsap County, WA. The PEAK program consists of a customized training and certification program that develops three different skill levels; 1) Active participation in Process Improvement activities, 2) Facilitation skills for Process Improvement activities, and 3) Leadership skills to work in a Lean environment. Andy has trained over 1000 students in Lean and Leadership. These students have implemented process improvements which have saved the organizations over $5 million. Many of these improvements have garnered regional and national attention, including award recognition.
Process Improvement for Clinical Application – Process Improvement for Clinical Application is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a basic understanding of process improvement and the healthcare environment. The course will provide an overview of Lean Six Sigma, Quality management, and other tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency in the health care setting. All participants will demonstrate applying these tools.
