Susan is your 4CNE partner for continuing nursing education.  Founder of Acute Care Education, her wealth of experience in planning and implementing CNE activities drives the success of our organization. Susan leads our organization with integrity and honesty to deliver high quality evidence-based CNE.

As a clinical educator, Susan’s twenty-plus years of nursing knowledge covers a broad spectrum of clinical experiences including:   acute care and critical care nursing in both RN and ACNP roles; clinical educator for LPN and RN’s;  management positions within a variety of healthcare organizations, academia, and in business. Susan served in the United States Army Nurse Corps from 1991-1997.  Her assignments included:  Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Madigan Army Medical Center.  Currently, she teaches 12-lead ECG Interpretation and Lab Interpretation. Over the years, she has spoken on a variety of topics at the local and national levels.   Susan holds a Master’s in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Washington State University–Vancouver and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Oregon Council of Healthcare Educators.

Susan has been married to her husband, Larry, for over 20 years.  She is currently raising three wonderful children.  Susan is active in her community as a Girl Scout leader, school, and church volunteer.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, swimming and running.
