Developing Nursing Interventions
Description
A nursing diagnosis, care plans and its interventions are the tools nurses use to communicate and maintain continuity of the care of an individual client. Developing nursing interventions in a clear manner so all nurses understand the care of a client is essential to avoiding costly mistakes. This course will cover many of the core essential components of how to develop a nursing diagnosis and individualized plan of care.
Objectives
Upon completion of Developing Nursing Interventions, the learner will:
- Analyze how the nursing care planning process has changed with the electronic medical record
- Develop nursing diagnoses based on assessment of various client conditions
- Create nursing interventions with rationale that support the various client assessments
- Discuss methods for implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions
